The worst part is that it didn't get many ports to consoles.

The worst part is that it didn't get many ports to consoles. The good news: Final Doom is available for the Playstation. The bad news: you WILL need the cheats for it.

It's pretty much more of the first one, so I can't point a flaw with it (besides being not as famous for lacking more ports).

Both Doom games were masively popular on PC. I would say they go hand in hand.

The worst part is that it didn't get many ports to consoles. I just want to point out that the best way to play DOOM II on consoles is probably through DOOM 3 Resurrection of Evil on the original Xbox. It contains perfectly emulated ports of Doom 1 & 2. The controls map nicely and in fact I was playing a bit of both Doom II and the original Doom last night on my copy of the expansion for Xbox. So if you always wanted to play DOOM II and own an original Xbox, you're in luck; Doom 3 Resurrection of Evil is the way to go.

The best Doom game of them all. Will still like to see a true sequel to Doom. Doom 3 although a good game was way off track and Doom 2016 was a Quake game with a Doom skin. For me Doom 64 was the real Doom 3.
