Game Discussion of the Week: NieR

It's a good game, I like the characters and the action gameplay with bullet hell style bosses is interesting for a game like this. I wish we'd gotten a better connection early on what the beginning was all about and how it connects to the game that then follows. It gets boring and repetitive for longer stretches here and there that kind of grind the momentum it had going prior to a slow crawl far too often. It's also quite boring and ugly to look at with almost exclusively washed out colors and low detail environments all around, this game could've benefited greatly from having a look more in line with Eternal Sonata for example.
