Re-Animator rules. Its gory, goofy, loaded with violence and nudity. A true horror classic. Here is the full movie if Balder wants to actually watch something good for once. Warning, it has some pretty great breasts in it!

Oh man, this movie is badass. It starts mildly crazy, but, by the end, it shows throws everything at the audience. You don't see everyday a severed head giving a... head.

This is a movie I've wanted to watch for a long time. I heard about it before cobretti told me about it in the Balder Mega List, for the record.

I've never heard of this one before. It had some scenes that were interesting in theory but I didn't feel they led to anything worthwhile. For the most part I was just bored watching this. I'm not a fan of slow, drama/thriller type movies, and this felt infinitely more like that than the supposed "comedy horror sci-fi" film IMDB claims it to be. It wasn't until about 2/3rd into the movie that it suddenly felt like they were trying to do something comedic with it. Because of this mostly anti-comedic tone it kept setting up, the kind of comedic stuff it offered felt completely out of place, and what could've worked just fine in a properly comedic setting instead felt awkward and annoying to me. It was a long, drawn out, potential beginning to what could've been an okay zombie movie, but it ends before there's a proper zombie outbreak aka where a movie I actually could've enjoyed watching would've picked up. With that said, I really like this promotional art.

Finally got down to business to watch this great movie, and just in time for the anniversary for this thread. Here's my thoughts on the film:
"Yes this is great! I have been waiting for very long time to watch this ever since I saw Cinemassacre do a review of it back in the days of Cinemassacre's Monster Madness. As a gore hound this satisfied me greatly as it is the perfect blend of over the top cheesy gore effects and executed well. Re-Animator is sort of parody of Frankenstein just more 80's and more fucked up. Herbert West is a seriously messed up dude, and love him and his nature. He just goes around re-animating all sorts of creatures for his experiments and does not give a shit about anyone or anything around him, and the dude knows how to handle a shovel. The idea of having a re-animating agent is simple, but yet highly entertaining and intriguing. I think it helped that it is glowing green. The theme is fantastic! Re-Animator is one of those cheesy 80's horror movies that is so good that it sort of transcends that genre. Still, the story and some of the characters could have been way better. Very entertaining." 4/5
