As a kid, I was terrified at the stop-motion demon that appears later in the movie. It was awesome. I remember the film being pretty good, but not too much.

Brilliant supernatural comedy/action movie starring Eddie. Eddie is hilarious as usual. The female lead has very desirable breasts that I would have like to have felt. All in all, great movie. 5/5 for sure. I wonder if Balder has seen this yet... |

Found it at Tubi.TV: "Wow this was not very good, which is kind of surprising because Eddie Murphy usually keeps me entertained. I mean, he is definitely not the reason this movie is bad, but his jokes in this are inferior to pretty much everything else he has done. The plot is extremely generic, and it is yet another one of those private eye investigations where he needs to find some magical kid or something, where the main character is caught by some magical fuckery. It feels mostly like a kid's movie, and by the looks of the other reviews on Letterboxd, it seems like most people watched this growing up. For someone that has never watched it before now, it is not very good." 2/5 Now back to cobretti chewing me out for not giving an Eddie Murphy movie a 5/5. |
