I don't think I have played point and click games before, it is a genre I definitely need to try.
This game is from the N64 generation, from the same people that made Ghoul Patrol, Big Sky Trooper, and Zombies Ate My Neighbors on the Super Nintendo.
Everything points out it is worth playing it.

It seems like Lucasarts was the last publisher to keep the point-and-click genre alive with titles like this one (which I haven't played) and the Monkey Island games which were still being made up to at least the early 2000s. I can't think of any games from the genre that came after those.

Spirit Bomb - There are many great modern developers in the genre. For developers, look for Amanita Design (Machinarium, Botanicula, the Samorost series) and Wadjet Eye (Blackwell series, Technobabylon, Unavowed and many others, usually with great pixel art). For specific games, look for Fran Bow, Kathy Rain and the Broken Sword series (it began in the 90s, but still got sequels in the 2010s). The Deponia series is also famous, but I know nothing about it. I'm not a fan of the genre myself, but my wife likes it and some of those games look very fun, in some cases even above the classic LucasArts entries.

Cervantes winnersdontusedrugs You guys wasted your time making those posts since I have never been into point-and-click adventure games. In fact I've never even heard of any of those games so I assume they're either indie or 8th gen titles.

Spirit Bomb - We were just pointing out that there have been a lot of great point & click games after LucasArts; that is, we were responding to your comment that "I can't think of any games from the genre that came after those" and that "Lucasarts was the last publisher to keep the point-and-click genre alive" - there are, in fact, many great ones after LucasArts. Some of the titles I mentioned are from the 2000s, while others are very recent (the latest Amanita Design game, Chuchel, is from last year, and they have announced a game for 2019) and some of them are very well known, as far as this admittedly niche genre goes: I'm also not a fan and yet I saw games like Machinarium being reviewed and praised everywhere, so I'm not talking about obscure indie games. Also, don't forget about Broken Age, which is a very famous recent example: I mean, if you haven't heard about it, then maybe you're just not reading enough. It was especially famous for being the first big Kickstarter video game story (before Shenmue 3). It's also made by ex-LucasArts developers, so there's that (it's also said to be not very good, though). ...Back on topic: I remember being really interested in Grim Fandango in the late 90s, having read articles on magazines about it, but sadly I wasn't on PC yet, so I missed it. The Día de Muertos + Noir aesthetic looks very interesting.
