... + Knuckles, as it was ment to be, it is easily the top game on the system.
Although personally the first game will always be my favorite, I recognize Sonic The Hedgehog 3 + Knuckles, the complete game, has a lot more going for it.
I don't understand why Sega is lately denying this game to players in their Genesis compilations, and releases. This didn't happen before.
My guess is that they don't want to get sued by the Jacksons, or they don't want to get involved in the whole controversy.
Somehow a release for PC is OK because anything goes there, but for consoles they are trying to be very PC about it.

Anyway, if it is such a big deal, just change the soundtrack altogether, how hard can it be? That way, you can let the world experience one of their best gems. Everyone will be happier, and no many hard feelings will be involved.
After all, games like Sonic CD already have an entire soundtrack change from one region to another. They definitely have the resources to do the same here as well.
If this is going to be an ongoing problem, they might as well do it now, and get it out if the way, just to be done with it, so they no longer have to worry about any future repercussions about it.

You'd think it wouldn't take much effort to make these threads, but honestly once you've been doing it for a while it gets tedious as fuck. You have to find the game to discuss, research the game, create the thread, log into the moderator account, make an entry into the review vault and then test it. To do this I have to use a computer, which is the main reason I do it some days late during summer. That's because I don't use my computer every day. I tend to use my phone to post stuff nowadays. Even Dan said he thought it was awfully boring after doing it for a while. It's not like I'm quitting anytime soon, but god damn dude, if it's so important to you, just post a discussion thread. The weekly discussions were never meant to replace discussions. It's still allowed to make game discussion threads. |

As for the game, I like it and S+K but 2 is my favorite on the Genesis. Might not be a popular opinion, but I prefer the special stages in it.

I have two gripes with Sonic 3.
-The Barrels of Doom: I wish Sega could've given us just even a little hint in game with what to do with them, like a neon D-pad with flashing up and down arrows would've been nice. That's going to annoy future archaeologists playing the game in the 22nd century.
-There is a glitch in Ice Cap Act 1, where if you're playing as Tails alone, the screen will shift while you're sliding and kill you.
