GUNMAN CLIVE! I loved the original but hesitated countless times to acquire the sequel. Glad I acquired it am I! I love the disparity in ideas between each level. On the surface, it's you as Clive and a pea shooter making your way through a robot-infused desert, but as you make your way through each level, it's clear that the game ties in several staples of the platformer genre from gravity to animal buddies, big, bad bosses and on-rails segments and never in poor taste. On top of that, GMC2 has a colorful style in visuals and audio. The original felt more dreamy but the sequel means business, especially on the harder difficulties and with more challenging characters. All this for a game with a price point of (U.S.) $2.99 and there is little to no reason fans of the first game shouldn't own this in their 3DS digital library. Do yourself the favor and go live with Clive! ***** / *****

Nice review, I see you actually own a cowboy hat, when I heard about this game it sounded like it was a light gun game, but now I see is nothing like that. Thanks for sharing.

It looks so LCD. Are you sure this isn't for the Virtual Boy? lol

Right now both of the games are on sale for 50% off(NA). I've been a little curious about the games but this review convinced me to pick them up and see they are discounted from their already cheap price.

I couldn't imagine Clive as a lightgun game but surprisingly, the sequel packs in several moments where you engage in 3D rails shooter combat. The variety in between missions is a definitive trait of both games although far more "out there" in the sequel. Both games are very much worth getting even pre-sale price.
