5 is my favorite.
The capsules allow you to change the map, so the later rounds become ridiculous. Plus the minigames rock. Also the tank battles are a nice little distraction.

Wonder who rated it 1. I guess he's salty after a loss.

This is one of the few series that to me are only enjoyable with local multiplayer. Most Nintendo games I can enjoy by myself or online, like Pokkén and Splatoon, but for Mario Party I always need someone to play with in order to enjoy it. It has always been like that since the N64. Nevertheless I like all the titles, there hasn't been a single title I haven't liked so far. Maybe that's why they are so popular.

I still have MP 3. I love that game. I just don't like how the "randomness" can change the outcome when you're winning the entire way.It is a great multiplayer, and it saddens me that they have oversimplified it in the last two games. (That's why I bought Fortune Street for the Wii. It actually takes a strategy to win in that game.) I hope they bring back the original platform with the Switch. This series should not die.

I hope so as well, the games have just been okay since Hudson Soft isn't involved anymore.

I agree, don't think there are many people into playing Mario Party alone either. Sucks that in some of the games you play through the single player if you want to unlock stuff.

The series was good up until the 4th game, at which point it started to decline, but that's just my opinion. My favorite game is probably either 2 or 3.
Not a great series by any means. I give it sorta a mixed review, partially because the later games simply weren't as good as the first few, but also because its very casual in terms of gameplay, so it isn't really my cup of tea as far as local multiplayer games go. But back when I was a kid, playing any of the first three games with friends was always a good time.

I've only played the N64 ones. Good times with friends - what else can I ask from a video game? Solid 4 from me.

I gave the series a four, certain games could've been a 5 but the series is shaky at times. The first game was the most unfair of the series and has those joystick destroying mini games that requiring spinning it quickly. Good start though. 2-5 were all good games and each added something to the table. 6-7 were a bit samey and brought in the microphone mini games that weren't very good. Still fun, just started to feel a bit stale. 8 was decent, but could have used better motion control. 9-10 are OK, changed up the series in a lot of wars but not for the better mostly. Haven't played the handheld ones.

Ah yes, the only game in existance that can proudly proclaim to have ended as many friendships as Monopoly.
My favorite is probably 5 and my least favotite is 8, seriously that one blows hard.

I completely fail to see the appeal of this series, I've played all the ones up to and including the ones on GameCube with other people for the full multiplayer experience and every time it's been an awful one, it was only ever endurable because I was with good friends but I'd never play these games otherwise, there was literally no enjoyment from the games to be had at any point. Not even winning in them had any value, it's an empty feeling I'd much rather go without.
Preferably I'd play good games with friends to share fun and good times together instead, there are countless far superior multiplayer games than this garbage so why waste quality time with friends playing Mario Party makes no sense to me.
Friends don't make friends play Mario Party.
