When discussing turn-based RPGs, Chrono Trigger is the game that always seems to come up and as a fan of the genre, I felt more than obligated to play the legendary RPG.
Holy hour-hand of the clock is this game swell.
I've never played the way overpriced SNES cartridge so I went into this game on a fresh slate and on many grounds have I been soaked into the experience.
It's readily apparent that the original game (which is largely intact in the handheld version) was designed to take people off their feet; the scale of the environments are breathtaking and the OST composition quality alongside the carefully constructed plotline lend players a sense of purpose.
Yes it exploits multiple themes that is overdone in all media, however, part of Chrono Trigger's beauty is that it gives players control over time and allows players to pick and choose the best of which world they choose whether a prince turned into a frog or lone robot with a soul.
When you stumble into a game widely hailed as one of the best of its time, it can often be hard to separate yourself from the gossip surrounding it. Regardless of the expectations you go into Chrono Trigger with, you are sure to walk out with at least some favorable impressions.

This is often considered one of the best games of all time. Thanks for bringing us your review of it my man. The DS version is always considered the best way to play it now, and many still love the classic SNES version as well. Nice one, don't get run over though
