Such a mediocre series. I was so excited to play Future Perfect after watching Mark's rave review of it, but when I finally did get my hands on the Xbox version (which I bought for only $3; go figure) found it to be a complete letdown. I hated every single second of the campaign, which was extremely short, glitchy, had hardly any emphasis on gunplay, and felt very rushed. The multiplayer component of that game was definitely the better part, but it still suffered from the fact that the gameplay is so bare-bones and primitive in comparison to other console shooters from that gen, like Halo CE. On top of that, the production values were garbage, and it felt like a budget title compared to many other console shooters from the same time, like Goldeneye Rogue Agent for example. If anything, playing Future Perfect made me appreciate Rogue Agent that much more, since they both cost around the same these days and the latter game (Rogue Agent) has an infinitely superior campaign that feels nearly three times as long and is focused soley on the excellent gunplay, which, by the way, is also better than Future Perfect's.
So in the end, the series is not for me, and Future Perfect has the worst campaign of any shooter I've ever played. It's basically just pandering to Goldeneye 64 fanboys. My advice if you want a satisfying spiritual successor to Goldeneye 64: play Goldeneye Rogue Agent instead.

I always heard good things about it, but never had the chance to play the games myself. But then, I rarely play first-person shooters on consoles.

I used to play Timesplitters on my PS2 with my friend I road to elementary school with early each morning. I really liked it but haven't touched it in years.

Yeah, these games were popular for sure. All I recognize is the good reputation as I never had the chance to play them.

I like the series for it's multiplayer, I don't remember getting into the campaign.
