This has been a slow week for us, Wind Squids. Let's start this new week right with a very funny movie. But... Is this the new weekly film discussion? It's tough to tell when they get pinned and left there for weeks at a time. Dan E Kool demands further executive powers to keep slip ups like this from happening in the future. We used to be the greatest forum, but mistakes like this are bringing us down. MTPGA! Make The Pub Great Again! This Week: UHF Chosen by: cobrettiReleased: 1989 Starring: Weird Al and Kramer Director: Jay Levey Producer: John W Hyde Writer: Weird Al and Jay Levey

Is that Kramer and Nanny Fran? They look so young. I remember seeing trailers for this movie when they were airing it on television in the 90s, but I never saw it. What a nice find. I'll definitely watch it now that it has come to my attention again. It looks very entertaining.

I'm amazed how you always pick movies I've never even heard about cobretti.

One of my favorites; always loved Weird Al. The cult classic since it came out during the summer of big movies: Batman (Michael Kenton), Ghostbusters 2, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, etc. It got swallowed up in all that, even though it got great marks from it's test audiences.

UHF rules. It always makes me yearn for the days when by playing with the UHF knob on my old crappy woodgrain bedroom TV set could help me find a gonzo horror movie host or low rent local wrestling or something else weird. Those were the days. And Balder , if you haven't heard of these excellent movies, you need to step your movie game up homie.

I'm amazed how you always pick movies I've never even heard about cobretti. Good news. I threw a couple suggestions out that are maybe a little more "mainstream" I guess. But still just as awesome as all of my other suggestions.

That's what I thought. It became common knowledge that turtles were natures suction cup when that movie came out.

Found this on tubi.tv, but you'll have to watch it soon because it's leaving soon.
"I tend to dislike old spoof movies so naturally, I was skeptical of watching this, however, it was quite funny. What I found funny were those small details which made the film feel complete. It could be something as simple as Weird Al being hit with a chair in the background or him whipping of an arm when he is parodying Indiana Jones. The plot is one of those generic, we need to save X with Y amount of money. Still, it works because there are so many great jokes and moments attached to that plot, like all those hilarious trailers for shows like The Wheel of Fish and Gandhi II. This is a movie that holds up surprisingly well, and Weird Al is pretty good in it as well." 3.5/5 fun as hell.
