Never played it. Keeping the streak alive! How many Never Playeds can we string in a row? In any case, I gave my vote to my BFF and yours, Dan E. Kool. He deserves it.

Alan Wake is a pretty good game with a lot of suspense. You're a writer that has got writer's block and travel to a rural city (reminds me very much of Twin Peaks, which I absolutely adore). Stuff that you write come to life, and you re-live your horror story. It has great characters, great story and above average gameplay (it plays very much like Red Dead Redemption in terms of controls and combat). All of the DLC have become free except for the stand-alone game called Alan Wake American Nightmare. If you're a fan of David Lynch or Stephen King, you should absolutely pick this one up. 4/5 Great game!

By the way, they stopped selling digital copies because of some licensing issues related to music. Licensing is the bane of videogame preservation.

The digital ones have it worse, but it also means physical copies can't be rereleased (as greatest hits or HD versions) unless the licensing is worked out or the developers work again on the game to replace the licensed content. So it affects everything, sadly.

Yeah it's pretty sad. They've taken down Alan Wake American Nightmare, and now you can't get it legally anywhere. Luckily I purchased it before the takedown.
