By the way, I recently got a RAD2X for my Sega Saturn and it is a huge improvement over the cheap s-video to HDMI converter that I was using before: zero perceptible lag, colors popping out much more and clearly defined pixels. These upgrades really make a difference.

I got the the original-ish model of the OSSC. The one that has the board sandwiched between some plexiglass or something. I also got a 30 case of Keystone Light, a few pre rolls of the devil’s lettuce, and my Judas Priest mixtape, but that’s beside the point. Going to see Priest on tour this May? They have Sabaton with them on the tour. I will have to check the date but when Sabaton is playing I will definitely be trying to get down and dirty with a lot lizard before the show.

Balder , if that’s even your real name, is your OSSC still treating you right? I know it’s a little out of style right now but I picked up a non Chinese one on the cheap and wanna see how you still feel about it. The OSSC works as a charm. I think it was a good attempt at making a more affordable alternative to the Framemeister back when it came out. It feels a bit homemade, but the performance is great. I do think there could be made a better version of it though, but I haven’t checked the market for alternatives as I don’t need any replacement. There was talk about an OSSC Pro a couple of years ago. I wonder how that project is going because it was going to add composite video as well, which would interest me and my Atari 2600 collection.

Apparently it came out: videogameperfection.com/products/ossc-pro/But it still doesn’t support composite. They say they’ll add support to composite in the future with an expansion, however until then, I’ll wait.

I saw that one of them was compatible with composite, however, I'm intrigued by the HDR injection of the OSSC Pro. As it stands now, I'll wait and see if the expansion comes to the OSSC Pro because it's going to be everything I could want in such a device.

There are “add on” boards sold on Amazon and Aliiexpress that allow you to run composite and s-video through the scart or component ports. I don’t know how well they work because they come from CHINA. I guess you could get a retrotink mini, put it in pass though mode, and use a DAC and run it to the OSSC. That’s what I’m probably going to do.
