I'm wondering if this will happen completely the way it is intended. The Sherman Anti-Trust Act could become an issue since this is a relatively huge chunk of the entertainment business being merged into the Disney name. Just this morning, I read an article stating that this could take up to a year for the government's approval.

If Disney made a streaming service I would be willing to try it out. I'm sick of Netflix's shit selection and watching the only good shows/movies disappear. Maybe Disney's idea of skipping limited contracts and straight up buying everything under the sun might work out.
I'm not too concerned about "Disneyfication" or by the supposed lack of competition because Disney has only been buying up creatively bankrupt properties so far. Can't lose something you don't have.

Maybe this is the reason the Intergalactic Space Arcade is in self-exile: to avoid being assimilated. Just a thought.

By the way, I can't wrap my head around the fact that Alien now is owned by Disney. Can you imagine it? That's just awesome. All the disturbing sexual horror from Alien is now a Disney IP. Maybe we may now get a good movie out of it? I vote for an animated Alien movie made by Pixar, just for shits and giggles. Or maybe a crossover between Alien and Guardians of the Galaxy. no Oh man, why not? The Alien series is already covered in shit anyway, might as well go all out. (Seriously, though, I think Alien might be in better hands at Disney than Fox.)

Considering how hard Disney's been sucking since they bullied away all their talent 15 years ago, this is horrible news, now all the IPs Fox had will have shitty pumped out garbage content just like everything else Disney owns.
99% of the entertainment industry worth giving a shit about flushed straight down the capitalist toilet.

Balder - To be perfectly honest, my only hope for the franchise nowadays is an Alien: Isolation sequel. That game was the best release since Aliens.

I heard at least one of them is really tough. By the way, I think Balder only has Colonial Marines, but I'm not sure.

stratogustav - Nah, the game is too long and very story based, besides being horror, so it's just not replayable enough to go for achievement hunting. Though I still got 41 out of 50 just by playing it normally. But seriously, the game is really good and I do consider it the 3rd best entry in the series after Alien and Aliens.

For a second I was jealous you had the Capcom arcade one. That one was badass. I wish we could get a remaster of that game just like we did with X-Men arcade. I was playing X-Men arcade yesterday and it made me wish for Alien Vs. Predator and Turtles In Time as well, because the remaster looks so good on widescreen and HD.

They've never done a thing for the world of animation Uhhhh dude... Oh, don't get me started on Disney. They've done WAY more harm than good for the animation scene. They've completely monopolized what could've potentially been a great artistic medium (referring to the american animation industry).
