Welcome to the first edition of the weekly game designer discussion series, where a game designer/director/artist is chosen for us to talk about.
This week's subject? Peter Molyneux.
I'm not sure what to think of this chum. A lot of people think he's a liar and a hype machine, with many of his games supposedly lacking several features that were promised during development. I've only spent a very small amount of time with one of his games (Fable), and I wasn't into PC gaming when Black and White was being hyped up, so I feel like I missed all the commotion.
Has anyone here spent a significant amount of time with his games? How do you feel about his games? What do you think of him?
Please discuss. And if you would like to suggest a game designer for next week's discussion, please feel free to do so by sending me a note.

Populous on the Genesis was fun.

Black and White too. Was never really impressed by the Fable series though... Only ever played the first one, maybe having it being the game I moved on to right after KOTOR had something to do with that slightly underwhelmed opinion...

I think the options you give us don't account for much...
But I consider Molyneux to be a man of great ideas without great games. I love what Dungeon Keeper and Populous are about, but none of his games I'm familiar with are undeniably good
