Roller Coaster Tycoon ScamIf you don't feel like looking over the articles, here's the short end of the story. The losers who own the rights to the name "Atari" are attempting to crowdfund a port of Roller Coaster Tycoon to the Switch. They want the players to pay for them to port the game. I figured these scam artists would give up after the failure of the Atari Box. What a shame...

Wow really what the fuck.. As much as I want the name Atari to return, soiling the name like this is worse than having it die with the Jaguar. Just stay dead Atari (this breaks my heart).

Can you really call them investors if you put an arbitrary limit on what they can gain in their investment? "Investor" just sounds like a friendly euphemism for "sucker" in this situation. This is somehow more insulting than normal kickstarter funds, at least they don't have the audacity to call people investors.
What's more disgusting is that they're porting it to the Switch.

Apparently Atari will be partnering up with a hotel company to make 8 themed Atari hotels. I guess if one is in Las Vegas (as rumored) , where prostitution is legal, then the "Have you played Atari today?" theme will have a whole new meaning.

You know, Blade Runner makes more sense now, it solves the problem. Those sings on those buildings were hotel signs, not consoles advertising.    |
