The first time I watched this movie was in college. One of my professors assumed the movie was "something else" and aired it. As an old man, he didn't enjoy the type of "actiony" tension going on, but to me that gives movies their soul. So, unlike him I think this movie is relevant to public health, I still don't know how, but it has to be. The story is very well told and you get to see (maybe feel) the level of care that goes into faking you are someone else while living under that type of crazy surveillance. Super interesting movie, I'd say valid, even. You guys should watch.

I haven't seen this one in ages. This was rather good, as I recall. Whatever happened to Ethan Hawk? The dude has the perfect Mortal Kombat name.

I remember there being a shower scene. Were there any nipples shown? Can we also rank these movies by the number of nipples on screen?

Were there any nipples shown? Can we also rank these movies by the number of nipples on screen? I do. I will legitimately enjoy a movie more if it has lots of nudity.

Never seen this one. Does it have nudity? Not to my memory. It's a sci-fi thriller about inferior genetics.

There are quite a few science teachers who like to use this movie in the classroom.

I got a trial for Amazon Prime today, so I'm going to watch as many CGR recommendations as I can before it expires. Here's what I thought about Gattaca: "This is a solid science fiction movie. The premise is one of those "what would happen if we changed this thing about society" dystopian movies. So the story to me is not inherently the greatest thing ever, but it pulls through by great execution. There are enough twists and turns to keep it interesting all the way through. Some of the ways they use to get out of certain situations are quite clever. I wonder if I should give this a 3/5, but since it ends so well, I will give it a 3.5/5. It is kind of inspiring, and also disturbing as this would be horrifying if it would become reality. Just solid." 3.5/5
EDIT: I see that I almost watched it on the anniversary of this thread. Perhaps I should have waited a couple of days.
