arstechnica.com/gaming/2018/02/segas-yakuza-6-demo-accidentally-included-the-full-game/The short version: As is common, the Yakuza 6 demo that went up yesterday was a download for the full game, with everything outside the demo locked. That way, if someone buys the full game in April, it is just an unlock key and they can play right away. However, in North America at least, it looks the version that went up didn't have anything locked out. It is the full game. The demo has been pulled, but some people did get the full thing. --- So I do have one friend who is a Yakuza fanatic who happened to be lucky enough to get the full version, and he's enjoying the heck out of it. Granted, he's the type of fan who's still going to be happy to pay full price in April.

That's hilarious. I'm really not into the Yakuza series but I might consider picking 6 up because it's got Virtua Fighter 5 FS on it. as if porting a VF game to ps4 wasn't enough, now some people are getting the whole game for free. Yakuza 6 is the gift that just keeps on giving.

Man I wish I saw this on time. Your friend is lucky. Heh, well if it is any consolation, I think they'd already pulled the demo by the time I'd posted it. That version of the demo has apparently been locked out on PSN even for people who downloaded it...fortunately for my friend, he'd set his PS4 offline as soon as he'd realized what has happened. I think he's okay keeping his PS4 offline until the official release in April
