I feel that the key-word to talk about Black Panther is racism. Yup, racism. You go to watch a super hero movie and you get racism everywhere around it.
Attention! This is a SPOILER friendly discussion, so if you haven't watched the movie and don't want to get spoiled, stay away!
But is that what it should have been? Honestly, judging by public statements from people related to it there's a chance that's the right word to use now. My experience with this movie was my gf asking me if I wanted to watch it at midnight a couple of weeks ago. Of course I was happy she asked and went there! Nothing weird happened until the following week when I began to notice reactions throughout the internet: suddenly this ok movie was the best thing ever made and you are considered a racist for thinking otherwise. That thing is widespread, btw, there is even a certain amount of (crazy) people who shun white people interested in Black Panther. On the other side there are people so outraged by this whole reaction that they consider Black Panther worse than it is.
Isn't it ironic? Because regardless of what everyone around this movie says, it carries a general anti-racism message.

So what was misunderstood? What was misunderstood is the quality of the movie. It's a piece of fabricated shit. It's not terrible, but it is bad. People who rate it 10/10 should be ashamed of themselves for failing to see that Disney has already made this movie 3 times before.

But haven't you noticed how Black Panther has generated more racism instead of diminishing it?

That's definitely part of it! But haven't you noticed how Black Panther has generated more racism instead of diminishing it? Well the plot was about Africa taking revenge on the old colonial powers. Not really, the plot did include Killmonger advocating that other africans were their brothers, but using so as a means to gain power to one day conquer the world. Even then, most of the cast thought that was kind of a dumb idea, with the leaders of their country understanding that they had the options of remaining isolated from everybody else or opening up to everyone. The idea was to portray the main character trying to cast aside that racism his people had towards the whole rest of the world. Dan E. KoolThat's definitely what it looks like right now.
