Fort those tuned out on game news, Sega has announced physical localization for three physical items of note within a week! Seventh Dragon III, the first in an interesting RPG series for (3)DS to be localized. Sega 3D Classics Collection, a compilation of seven fully optimized Mega Drive/Genesis remasters for the 3DS + 2 remastered Master System titles. Valkyria Chronicles Remastered, a port of the visual spectacle SRPG Valkyria Chronicles for the PS4. Apparently, these are not terribly coincidental as Sega has adopted a new president with high ambitions and a bit of history with the company (via reply #2). How do you guys feel about Sega in the now? Granted, you can't expect them to revive their glory console days or full fledged focus in developing/marketing IPs (and many are rightfully butthurt considering PSO II[?]) but this is surely a step in the right direction, no?

If they ever decide to release the physical version with (at the very least) Space Harrier included outside of japan and amerika I'd might actually buy a 3DS one day.

Any step for them is a step in the right direction. This and some movement with the more recent Yakuza games getting localized. And maybe we will get the PS4 version of PSOII (I can dream, right?) I demand a re-release of Radiant Silvergun on the Saturn dammit. If you have a 360, they did and XBLA version of it. Its a really excellent game and I can't recommend it enough.

I have a question though: I witnessed my brother-in-law forced to sign in when accessing his XBLA games and was reminded: what will happen when the servers go down? Is there something that MS is able/willing to do on their end so people don't get screwed out of their purchases? Just curious.

They haven't said how this is going down yet, but you can play your XBLA games offline on the console you bought it on.
