 It seems like a strange collection of games to put together. Aren't the Streets of Rage games on the eShop? Why not throw them in instead of two Phantasy Zones? Still, I'm a sucker for physical re releases so I'll probably get it. |

As far as I know it's only coming out in japan and USA, so..
In its current form: No, Nintendo's love for region locking made the choice for me.
If they ever decide to release it here: Maybe, but only second hand or bargain bin prices.
If they decide to release it here with (at the very least) Space Harrier added: Yes, I'd buy a 3DS for that.

Depends on reviews on the technical quality of the ports themselves. As long as they're competent, I'll pick up a used copy at some point-- I'm also a sucker for physical compilations, even if I own most of the originals.

I'm pretty sure that these are just port of the eShop releases, which have been fairly praised to my understanding. |

Now that I got myself a 3DS, I certainly intend to buy it. I only heard good things about the games.
But yeah, why haven't they included the Streets of Rage 3d ports? Maybe they are holding them (and Sonic 2) for a second collection?

Originally, no. I own Thunder Blade and Galaxy Force II (thanks to a most convincing review), but something shifted my perspective. First off, it's 7 games at 30 dollars which is less than 5 bucks a pop and for physical media. Next, I adore the first Sonic title more than most so it would be great to own it on a handheld where I could get the most out of it. Third, Power Drift and Puyo Puyo alone make the collection worth it. Fourth, Sega decal stickers. Yes. If I need more than 4 reasons to buy a game then I am just being stingy. It's too bad my go-to Game Stop did not have it in stock otherwise I would have bought it and stamped the feedback survey a blast processed 5 star rating for ease of access to classic Mega Drive goodness. |

Found a great review on the game/compilation. There's some interesting back story to the proliferation of Sega 3DS remasters and why they are a thing as well as an interesting footnote on a secret unlockable game that was not advertised in 3D Classics' promotion. |

I got my copy yesterday. It comes with games I was already planning to get from the Japanese PSN store for my PS3, but these 3DS versions are cooler because they are in 3D.
