I could have sworn that I've seen this in Montgomery Ward's Electric Avenue in the late 1980s. Does anyone remember these?

I think I remember a commercial for it.

I think I remember a commercial for it. When you are a kid, this thing looks awesome. After watching this video as an adult? I think I'll pass... A laser disc would have been cooler, but hey, it was the 80s!

Never heard about this. It's impressive how many things were passed as games in the 80s and early 90s (like all the Tiger handhelds).

Someone told me that in the 80s there were games playable on a VHS, that sounds mind blowing to me.

That thing is cool. With actual live video those are some of the most realistic graphics even for today's standards. I have to say, CRTs were a marbel in technology, they had q crazy amount of zones, pretty much one for each pixel, the refresh rate was off the charts, usually 10 times higher than the refresh rate on modern TVs, and there was virtually no lag on video games. It is almost as if we are going backwards.

This just came up in my feed, and it covers so much more! I didn't realize that a lot of the Sega CD games were continuations of these products; however upon thinking about it, it makes a lot of sense.
