Film maker topic of the week: Victor Salva

Why are you picking directors where you clearly have an agenda Spirit Bomb? This guy us barely worth mentioning if we talk about his movies.

Yeah, I'll just stick to the film making part of this thread.

Jeepers Creepers and Jeepers Creepers 2 are two of my favorite horror movies, I love the creeper, it's a great and underrated movie monster in my opinion, the theme song the creeper has is a good song originally but in the context of the movies it became a favorite of mine and I catch myself singing on it quite often, I love the story and acting in the first movie especially, Justin Long does a fantastic job for such an early role in his career (he'd only been in Galaxy Quest, where he also did a great job, and Happy Campers, which I don't think I've seen but I'm willing to bet he probably delivered in that one as well), the truck the creeper drives is one of my favorite movie vehicles as well, easily up there with the Batmobiles, James Bond's many cars, the DeLorean time machine, the "monster" trucks from Monster Trucks and the many cars from the Death Race and Mad Max movies.

Sadly the new third movie that came out last year was made by other people, it supposedly takes place between the events of the original two movies, I still wanna see it but I highly doubt it's any good.

The good news is that all three movies are available on youtube with english voices atm so anyone can take a peek if interested, I might just check out the third one and see just how much worse it is, but I need to rewatch the first two again to have them as fresh in mind as possible for an as accurate as possible comparison of the drop in quality.

I'm not going to defend this dude that I didn't even know about, and he is probably guilty of everything you said.

But speaking in general, just because you hear something on the news, social media, or on YouTube, it doesn't mean is true. Just because someone has a testimony it doesn't mean they don't have other motives behind it.

Let's not execute people like some kind of modern witch hunt. No body knows what happens except the people involved. I imagine that if people say things is because some of those things happen, I'm not naive to deny that.

But that said, no one can't judge anyone because no one knows what happens in other people's shoes, we really don't know who is innocent and who is guilty in today's world where many things happen with ulterior motives.

We may judge people's work, people's movies, maybe we like them, maybe not, but we can't judge the person behind them because we can never be certain of anything.
