I want to get a japanese ps2. They had the final fantasy 12 japanese ps2 console on ebay. It would be cool to get it with the box but the shipping cost would probably be outrageous.

It's part of the reason why I'm not getting anything current gen. centipede: Because I hunt around and my brother owns a second-hand store that deals in games, I've picked up most of my consoles for a good price (or free in some cases). Believe me, if I was rich with lots of space I'd have a couple of 4-slot Neo Geo MVSes and a bunch of cartridges for my own private arcade! Balder: I'd like to. I also have two ps1's. Bought them both thinking I could flip them but now I can't find a buyer for them. Not many people are really in the market for an original ps1 anymore. Probably because the ps2 and ps3 both play ps1 games and the ps2 plays them as if it were an original playstation inside the system.

Atari and Neo Geo consoles, on the other hand, are much harder to come by. That's half of the issue. People don't buy consoles and as such merchants can't move them easily and as such they don't bother resuplying them. The other half is retro stores being extremely rare themselves, I only know a few stalls in a local market and most of their items are overpriced (except Atari and Famicom stuff, that has always been underpriced and oddly enough extremely common around here). |
