I've never had a Genesis and am looking to get one soon. I know many of the good games for the system and look forward to trying them, will my experience not reach it's full potential without picking up the 32X and the CD?
I regret selling my Saturn now back in November, kind of want to get that one back too....lol

I have both, I didn't own them back in the day, I got them just a few years ago, and I'd say depending on if you can get hold of games you want for them they can definitely be worth it.
I only have three games for my 32X but it's three of my favorites so despite it being by far the most expensive hardware in relation to how many games I have for it, I still think it was well worth it as I've gotten countless hours of gameplay out of those games.
The Sega CD on the other hand you can relatively easily burn games for using a regular CD burner on PC, so you can easily get the most out of it, arguably even easier than the Genesis itself.
I'd recommend you get the model 2 Sega CD as the laser is easier to replace if it breaks, unlike the model 1 unit which is supposedly much harder to fix, at least that's what I've heard, I own the model 2 myself.
One thing is certain, there are games on both Sega CD and 32X that have little to no equivalent on the regular Genesis, Doom for example is arguably beyond even the best first person shooters on Genesis and it beats the poor Saturn version by a longshot!

I'd also strongly recommend you get a couple of 6-button controllers regardless if you decide on getting a Sega CD and/or 32X. You can technically play just about all games with the regular 3-button controllers but it's a great upgrade for all games that take advantage of the extra buttons, for sure, and there are plenty of new third-party 6-button controllers to buy out there that aren't expensive at all.

Have all three from back in the day. No regrets. Most of the FMV games won't hold up since you didn't experience them at the time. But it does have the best version of Final Fight out there, plus a lot of other great games. 32X is a different bird all together. It is far more hit or miss. If you get the full Voltron of Systems, there are better connection options like only using one or two power plugs rather than 3.

Sega CD rules. And it has no copy protection so that rules. Which Sega CD games are good in your opinion? My personal favorite is Silpheed. A shmup with cool graphics, great music, and it’s not too difficult. It’s been a while but if you don’t want to not so legally obtain it, i think it’s somewhat cheap but I haven’t followed prices in a while. Sol-Feace is pretty decent. Sonic CD is my least favorite of the main 16 bit Sonics but it has its fans and is still pretty good over all. Best 16-bit version of Final Fight is on Sega CD. Snatcher is pretty good. And of course who doesn’t love Corpse Killer!

And of course who doesn’t love Corpse Killer! Did you have it on the Sega 32X Sega CD combo? How exactly does that work? Does the game work off of the cart and the music off of the CD?

Love Sonic CD for the music.
Star Wars Chess... is interesting.
NHL94 is the best version for all consoles, as is Final Fight.

For the Sega CD I would say Sonic CD, Night Striker, After Burner III, Starblade, and Lethal Enforcers I & II.
They also have Snatcher by Hideo Kojima. Other popular ones were NHL '94, Final Fight CD, NBA Jam, Road Rash, and Shadowrun.
