I just thought of something: what if an FPS took a realistic approach to dual-wielding by allowing the player to plug in an extra USB mouse and aim freely with two arms individually?
From what I've read the Jurassic Park Trespasser team originally planned on putting a feature similar to this in the game but had to can the idea due to time constraints and unforeseen programming issues.
Personally I think this would make for an innovative and wildly entertaining gameplay experience. Has this been done before already?

This is basically what a lot of VR games do on PS4 with two Move controllers, also most lightgun first person on-rail shooter games with two players can technically be played with two means of input, if that includes two mice on PC specifically I do not know.

I can add that I [as a rule] have two mice in my PC; one regular over USB and a trackball mouse in the PS/2, and the computer only ever recognizes them as one and the same, as in I can move the mouse cursor with both but I can't have two mouse cursors and I've never encountered a game that recognized them as different, when I set the controls for one mouse they automatically apply for the other(s).
Perhaps that is what the programming issue they encountered with Trespasser was, that Windows or possibly computers in general simply don't separate between multiple mouse inputs, making it difficult to implement such a feature for PC games.
