So last night as I was watching a film something close to the name "Love me dead," my canary started going OFF in the credits when a tropical, beach style soundtrack was playing. That got me thinking, what are some of your favorite island/resort style songs from games. I've got two:
And this one doesn't necessarily count but I wanted to share it anyway:

When you say "tropical" the first thing I think somehow is the Yin Yang island in Mortal Deception, a small island with a few coconut trees around, an always sunny weather and the jolly music... But this island is placed right in a dimensional rift, switching to Outworld every minute, where its coconuts trees are replaced by giant hungry snakes and an ominous soundtrack. Of course that there are other perspectives to tropical themes... teddykongcountry Dire, Dire Docks is so cold!

Can I mention the entire soundtrack of Startropics, one of my favorite NES games?

Act 1 was amazing but the music in act 2 is the best in my opinion.

spidershinobi - many a puke from a drunken Bo Rai Cho has been spewed on that stage in my adolescence; seriously, that's a very creative stage from the MK game most tend to forget. As per Assassin's Creed, I could barely make it past the 30 second mark. Dire Dire Docks is such a lovely theme from the game and one I would like to learn to play on piano: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hubRavUYifcCervantes - sounds good! reminds me of Blaster Master's OST @armored Core Raven - oh man! Out Run is an instant tropical classic. The FFVII soundtrack has some nice appeal to it too. I'm going to have to go with @winnerdontusedrugs here though that Emerald Coast Act 2 is iconic for the franchise. Even playing Act 2 in Generations on the 3DS is superb. I've got a few more to add here! There's something quite venturesome about this theme and game's soundtrack in general. I believe this song plays on the seafaring vessel if memory serves me correct and I wouldn't exactly call it "tropical" but somehow, I imagine seeing the triumphant feel of encountering the ocean surface for a first time while listening to it. I've only ever played the Mega Drive version but gone out of my way to explore the soundtrack for other renditions of the game and this truly gets that tropical feel across as our beloved Wonder Boy ought to! As a Banjo-Kazooie enthusiast, I can not wait for this game! Now to decide which platform to pick up to play it on...

I guess Mario and Sonic will always have better catchy tropical themes when compared to other series.

After replaying Breath of the Wild, I can't pass this one up:
It is subtle, but it reminds me of the many beach towns I traveled to years ago.
