It seems kind of pricey, but when you compare it to the Framemeister, it's no contest. So worth it though. Never bothering with composite or scaling problems ever again. Buy me one. I like this guy.

What a coincidence. I like me, too.

By the way, I might go for this Retrotinker someday if I decide to upgrade my Saturn from s-video to component; I know HD Retrovision gives a very easy solution to that. But then, from the comparisons I've seen, it's not worth the price (cables + Retrotinker itself), as it only looks marginally better - if I was still on composite it would be another story.

This seems to be the rage now a days. This looks bad ass.
(By the way, I love their intro music.)

Everytime they release these type of things it makes happy to see the classic gaming community is still strong, and rightly so because many of those older games are timeless.

And this one *has* s-video, composite, component and scart, so it covers almost everything - it only lacks VGA, which would be very useful for Dreamcast fans, but then most tvs have a VGA input and I think it doesn't have as much trouble being scaled as those other signals (it would still be nice to have it, though). One great thing about it is how it's able to change resolutions without dropping the signal, as that's one of the main problems with some of these expensive converters. In Saturn 3d fighters like VF2 and DOA, for example, converters like the Framemeister completely miss the beginning of the fights due to the games changing resolution between the menus and the fight itself.

I imagine real state is probably a factor why it keeps missing support, and I do agree it would be nice to include it. I actually had no idea the famous Framemeister was failing at that. That's a very interesting fact to know, and if that was a thing, I'm glad there is a proper solution now. Nowadays they figure out everything, just like they did with the lightguns problem for modern TVs. I'm really proud of the community for all the magic they keep pulling off.
