I like Mark's humor. So a radio thing is definitely welcomed.

Man, looking at the YT channel again... I wish Mark hadn't abandoned it / used it just for selling shirts. I guess it could be used to at least post more trailers of the new show to attract new viewers (to date, I think there's only one trailer).
I liked listening to the CGR podcast, so I think Mark has a talent for radio. Let's see how it goes.

Balder - Even just abandoning the channel as it was (leaving it as an "archive" sort of thing) would be preferable. I wish he handled the change to Amazon a bit better.

It would've been really cool if he started posting his own top 10 lists like many gaming Youtubers do (like Metal Jesus Rocks for example), especially since he has never done that sort of content. It would've been easy for him to make and his fans would've loved it, and best of all it wouldn't be copyrighted or demonitized since it would just be him talking in front of a camera.

It would've been easy for him to make and his fans would've loved it, and best of all it wouldn't be copyrighted or demonitized since it would just be him talking in front of a camera. The closest he got to doing this were the "game of the year" videos, so lists were always a very rare thing on CGR. I'm actually glad that Mark never went that way, as I feel those kinds of videos are just "cheap". And considering how CGR was always above that kind of shit, I think the response could've been very negative - as it was when Mark started posting quick-and-dirty videos like WhoDefeatz or unboxing. I'm glad that his Amazon move kept the integrity of the show - the Youtube channel was getting too out there, with new content that didn't feel like CGR at all. It was clear that Mark was starting to give a shot at Youtube trends, but they didn't fit the format of the show (he even tried a few live streams). I'm just sad that the Youtube channel received almost exclusively t-shirt ads since then - I keep thinking that it could be used a bit more to advertise CGR 2085. The only trailer he posted there was pretty good; more videos like that would maybe attract more viewers to the new show. Though keep in mind I'm just speculating, as I have zero experience about how to manage something like CGR - maybe Youtube got so toxic that not giving a damn was the best course of action, I don't know. By the way, about the Metal Jesus' example, his channel isn't my cup of tea and I only like it when it's being parodied by the Game Sack guys. nothing against it, really, just don't like that kind of content.

Suit yourself. Anything would have been better than doing nothing worthwhile on his YT channel (AKA what it is now). Mark pretty much keeps all his opinions behind a paywall nowadays. It sucks. In regards to Metal Jesus, I think he's a genuinely nice guy. I don't share his taste in video games, but I still appreciate his content a lot. Plus he does a good job of interacting with his fans, and he's very professional in how he handles criticism. I've seen times where Youtube commenters have straight up called him a douche in response to civil replies he made to their complaints, but he never called them out or anything. He even personally replied to some of my own comments.

Spirit Bomb - Yes, Metal Jesus seems to be a very nice person, which is kind of a rarity on youtube. I just couldn't get into his content for some reason, but his videos are well made and have a positive attitude, which is nice.

If anything, the WhoDefeatz, unboxings, and t-shirt ads are proof that CGR isn't above anything. With all due respect, Mark dropped the ball on the YouTube channel, but of course that's very easy to say from the sidelines. Mistakes happened. It's to his credit that he's still rolling ahead, whether with books or Amazon or his comics or a radio show. Rock on.

Dan E. Kool - To rephrase it, it was above that shit until the WhoDefeatz and unboxings began... Anyway, I'm glad he could put the main show back on track with the move to Amazon, I hope it can stay that way for some time.
