I absolutely love this game. I know some people think it has become a bit overrated, but you have to look at what this game was in '95 and analyze what it has done to the industry. The soundtrack is legendary, the story line is phenomenal, and the game play is still fun to this day. Having multiple endings was quite a rarity for consoles at the time too. I honestly don't know if New Game + truly existed before it as well. I know other games had harder versions of the game play after beating it, but this one offered the chance to do things differently. Hell, you could beat the game in the first 5 minutes at the fair if you wanted to do so. Not much more can be said about such a game, and it is sad that the fallout at Square squashed any hopes of a third sequel to an amazing game.

Considered and regarded as the best RPG of all time.
That's a tough position to be in because if you are number one on anything like Breath Of The Wild, Ocarina Of Time, or the original Legend Of Zelda, being at the top gets you haters, automatically.
I've never played it myself, but its prestige makes me want to try it at some point to see what everyone is talking about. I want to use my SNES Classic for that.

I played it again last year (DS version), getting every ending and... Man, this game is great, it's just perfect. Though I don't recommend the extra content in the DS version: it's so bad that it brings the entire game down a notch. Just play the SNES version or, if you go the DS route, ignore the extra content until you begin a New Game+.

Great game, I was thinking of playing it again recently. It is funny, but every time I play this game, I never feel like it has aged poorly. Anyone can give it a go, and they will still have a great experience. There aren't many games like that.

It is a classic. And I think even the PC version has finally been patched into an acceptable state.
