Do you ever have dreams about playing bizarre versions or ports of real games?
The other night I dreamed about playing an OS port of GTA IV on my old Mac Mini! It was the strangest thing. Looked like a slide-show and was near-unplayable. For some reason it used a first person perspective for the shooting. Weird.

When you dream, what your brain is giving itself a clean up. If you do something enough or something has a big impact on you, that's what fills your brain.
Like the time I lost an important USB stick, I kept dreaming about searching, finding and losing it.
Sometimes, they can show you the future. I had one dream that showed me the snake enclosure of Australia Zoo (of Steve Irwin fame), months before I actually visited there.
Or they can tell you something. In high school, I had my heart broken by a girl, and I dreamed I was chasing her around the city, but she kept eluding me. The point was: I could never have her.
As for gaming related dreams? One I remember is that I visited the afterlife for every Phantasy Star Online player character that ever was, who had their data deleted or dormant on a memory card somewhere. It looked like a big night club, it was weird lol
