been playing nothing but genesisi/megadrive lately and forgot how good this console is. so i would like to know what all your top ten genesis games are.

Since we're including Mega Drive I'll do 20:

7. Gunstar Heroes
8. Alien Soldier
9. Contra Hard Corps

14. Truxton
15. Zero Wing
16. Fire Shark
17. Grind Stormer
18. Slap Fight MD
19. Twin Cobra

I have been meaning to play the Thunder Force series, at least on the emulator. For the way those games look, I'm sure they will rate pretty high on my list as well.

top twenty is easy, top ten is hard. but nice list of games. good call on derius 2, truxton and zero wing. as for my list, it's not really in any order. if i had to choose one game to be number one, it would have to be revenge of shinobi or musha. I included the top 10 within the top 20. Do the order. It makes it more personal. |

Since I never played that many Genesis games and I'm terrible at choosing favorites, I'm just going to do a top 5: (1=absolute favorite)
1: TIE: Sonic 3 & Streets of Rage 3 (kicks the fucking SHIT out of Rage 2 IMO)
2: Golden Axe
3: Ghouls N' Ghosts
4: Sonic the Hedgehog 2
5: not sure

You guys reminded me I forgot my honorable mentions. I'll only list 5: - Castlevania Bloodlines - Ghouls 'N Ghosts - Golden Axe II - Shinobi III - T.M.N.T. The Hyperstone Heist I'm not a RPG or RTS kind of guy myself, but I have to mention that both Phantasy Star IV, and Herzog Zwei, are very respectable in the system, and in the history of video games overall. Cervantes, and leaon79s, I would like to hear your top 25. You guys know your Genesis stuff. By the way fsfsxii, Pimpjira, and spidershinobi, you guys need to stop by a little more often. We miss you guys. |
