Have any of your favorite mods gone missing over the years?
I ask because I exclusively play older (2008 or earlier) PC games, and I've noticed that a large number of interesting Oblivion mods that I saw on Nexus.com back in 2010 and 2011 are now nowhere to be found on the site. It's depressing to think that they might be lost forever.

I don't play modded games much, but when I do it's Quake, Quake 2, Quake 3 Arena, Unreal Tournament and Unreal Tournament 2003.
I've seen some things I used to have disappear from the internet over the years, with seemingly no way to get them again. So unless I downloaded them and saved them myself back in the day, which I thankfully did with most things I liked, I wouldn't be able to get hold of them again.
One specific thing for Quake 2 I haven't been able to find again is an older version of Quake 2 Max. Q2Max was originally a rather simple source port that added a good third-person camera, customizable Quake III Arena beam effect for the Railgun and improved dynamic shadows. That older version was only changed so much from the original game engine that it just added those few improvement while still being fully compatible and playable on PCs that could run the original version of Quake 2, it was well optimized and well rounded for old PCs and newer PCs that could make use of the improvements alike without any sacrifices made.
Sadly the oldest versions I can find online in recent years, as the original hosted website for Quake 2 Max disappeared a long time ago, are all much newer versions that made many more changes and far more extreme changes to the code and I've never been able to get any of them to work as they require very powerful modern hardware to run and use all the improvements, like bump maps, realtime reflections, motion blur, light bloom effects and other such things that typical modern games have.
I still have the older version of Quake 2 Max myself on some old external hard drive, I think, but online I've never found it again.
