thefurox - Ho, that's amazing. Preserved in time for all time... I wonder if new scores can be added... So even if the site never returns, at least we have this snapshot of it for nostalgia's sake. Could've been from a later date though, say Nov or Dec 2015... yar2084 It'd be nice if he does it, but I don't want to get my hopes up - There were alot of unrealized promises in the old site too. Plus, Karnage... or CGR rather, has a policy of acknowledging publicly only those that give them something - be it a monetary or resource contribution of some kind. Otherwise open endorsement will have to be reserved for something they came up with themselves. This forum regrettably is not such an asset on either accounts. If he really does it, it's a start I guess. But if not... Well - we know for sure where this forum stands then.

leaon79s New scores can't be added but if someone were to download the files and set it up with a new database it would work.

Eh, I'm ok with the forums only.
Originally I was a regular poster on Vault pages, the reason why I had 2300+ XP was because I filled a crapload of VaultPages and verified most of my collection after all. However the system was extremely buggy, had no real limitations on file size (Which often resulted in me having to edit the file and try to guess the proper resolution due to the site accepting 6 MB files with resolutions that were impossible to edit for preview). This along other things *cough* Thumbnails in collection broken *cough* made me lost interest in most of the site features other than the forums, which really I liked because you guys are the only online comunity that can put up with me <.<

I, for one, mourn the loss of all that collective knowledge. Having an overall list of games for many systems was a great resource that is missed. Me too. Creating Spacevault pages was kind of a pain at times because of how slow the site was, but I still enjoyed it. Also loved hopping on to the home page and seeing new user reviews on the side.

I never participated in the Spacevault, and as great as it sounds, let this be a reminder to all of us that nothing stored online lasts forever. If I can't hold something in my hands (or at the very least store it on my own hard drive and not depend on someone else's server) I feel much less control or ownership over it, and therefore am less likely to invest effort. Guess that's why I've never given a crap about what I feel are meaningless online trophies/achievements.

FWIW, I do prefer this forum's useabilty to that of the old one. I never did any spacevault stuff or anything like that.
