This day, January 2nd, 2019 has been a rough day if you're a fan of bad asses and cool dudes as we've lost three today. So I figure we have a place where we remember and celebrate the lives of the bad asses, cool dudes, pets, shred guitarists, and others who pass on over the next year and beyond. If there is someone you want to remember or bring their death to our attention, @ me or send a PM and write an obituary. Rest in peace, my homies. 'Mean' Gene Okerlund (December 19, 1942 – January 2, 2019)By me, cobrettiMan, Mean Gene ruled. Total fucking bummer to see him go. Call his hotline in his memory. Here is some Classic Mean Gene. Bob Einstein (November 20, 1942 – January 2, 2019)
By cobrettiEnjoy some legendary Super Dave and Funkhouser.

Just realized about that first Mean Gene clip, none of those dudes are alive today and they all ruled. Belated RIPs to Ravishing Rick Rude and the Brain. Total legends.
Tomorrow I'll do a write up for one of the few men who could be call 'The Captain'... The Captain.

Oh man, I just read about this. This really sucks... We are losing a lot of greats lately. Maybe Mean Gene will interview Super Dave upon his arrival. Rest in peace guys; you were the best.

Continuing to remember Mean Gene, here is his cover of 'Rock n' Roll Hoochie Koo' featuring Hogan on bass laying down a fat ass groove.

I thought this was a pretty damn good memorial to Mene Gene.
Hulk Hogan did an outstanding job as well on Raw. I haven't watched Raw in decades, so I didn't watch the rest of it.
I've got to say though, this crowd sucked. I can't believe how quiet they were when it was appropriate to scream your freakin' brains out after the 10 ring of silence. Then, when Hogan started to get into character at the end, the response was way too lame for me. I was so excited that I got my kids singing "Real American" as a tribute to such a late great man. My two year old did a better job than that lame crowd.

Its been a lot of years since I've watched Raw. Probably not since Nitro went off the air. I watched the Hogan bit and yeah that crowd was lame. Maybe there wasn't enough geezers like me in the crowd who grew up watching Mean Gene and classic WWF and WCW, so maybe the moment was lost on them. I thought Hogan did a good tribute. Wasn't putting himself over so much. Good segment. Bad crowd.
