I'm getting a PS4 Pro any day now. Why you ask? Well I want to get into fighting games as I've bought a really nice arcade stick, and some of the games I want to use it for is exclusive to the PS4 such as Street Fighter V and Tetris Effect. I've bought both of these games along with Until Dawn. So here I am, asking for more recommendations. I'm basically asking for recommendations that simply aren't on Xbox. So don't bother recommending games that are on Xbox, but they can be on PC and PS4 and still count as an exclusive.

Off the top of my head, The Last of Us Remastered, if you never got around to playing it on PS3. Horizon Zero Dawn is really good, as well.

What I like you may not like, however you definitely need to add me "stratogustav", and also join our PS4 CCR community as well.
Some games I like you may like because they are just great:
• Alienation • Caladrius Blaze • Darius Burst • Detroit • Earth Defense Force 5 • MatterFall • Nex Machina • Polybius • Raiden V • Resogun • Super Stardust • Tetris Effect • Thumper • Until Dawn
If you get PS VR on a sale I would also suggest:
• Astro Bot Rescue Mission • Beat Saber • Eve Valkyrie • Eve Gunjack • Fruit Ninja • Pinball FX3 • Planet Minigolf • Sparc • SuperHyperCube • Resident Evil VII • Rez Infinite • WipEout Omega • X-Wing VR Mission
In terms of fighting games both Street Fighter V, and KOF XIV are exclusive.
However you can't go wrong with Tekken 7, Mortal Kombat XL, Injustice 2 Legendary Edition, SoulCalibur VI, and Dragon Ball FighterZ.
In terms of mainstream exclusives:
• Bloodborne • God Of War [4] • Gravity Rush 2 • Horizon Zero Dawn • Infamous Second Son • Infamous First Light • NieR Automata • Nino Kuni II • Nioh • Persona 5 • Shadow Of The Colossus • Spider-Man • The Last Guardian • Uncharted 4 A Thief's End • Uncharted The Lost Legacy • Yakuza 0 • Yakuza Kiwami • Yakuza Kiwami 2 • Yakuza 6
They all have been well received, so they are easy to recommend too.
Since you have the Pro, then some multiplats are also good to recommend for either the enhanced 4K resolution, or the enhanced frame rate:
• Battlefield 1 • Battlefront 2 • Dishonored 2 • Doom • Far Cry 5 • Infinite Warfare • Red Dead Redemption 2 • Rise Of The Tomb Raider • Sniper Elite 4 • The Witcher 3 • Titanfall 2 • Watch Dogs 2
Multiplats usually have mixed reviews unlike most exclusives, so it depends of the person.

Good recommendations stratogustav. Nier Automata is on the Xbox One as well though.

Woah, thread killer. I won't be getting multiplats as I already own the Scorpio, which plays multiplats better. I totally forgot about Resogun and Polybius, I was so disappointed when I found out they were PS4 exclusives. Now I finally get to play them.

Technically I suppose Resogun is out for the Vita and the PS3, but the PS4 is definitely the best version.
Also I know stratogustav mentioned Gravity Rush 2 but I'd also say Gravity Rush Remastered is worth getting over the Vita original.

Good recommendations stratogustav. Nier Automata is on the Xbox One as well though. Yeah, I think it was only a time exclusive, in a similar way Rise Of The Tomb Raider used to be a time exclusive on the Xbox.

I didn't like The Last Of Us, but most people do. Although I have never heard of Stick Fight. It sounds like a good game. I would also recommend Super Stardust Ultra, it is made from the same people that made Resogun, Alienation, Nex Machina, and MatterFall. WipEout Omega is mind blowing on VR just like Resident Evil VII is. If you don't have a weak brain for VR, I highly recommend those experiences too. I really can't stress those kind of experiences enough, along with things like Tetris Effect, X-Wing VR Mission, Beat Saber, Polybius, Thumper, Rez Infinite, SuperHyperCube, and Astro Bot Rescue Mission.

I haven't been blown away by VR yet, but I haven't tried PlayStation's VR. It just seems so impractical. Often I just want to sit down with a controller in my hand and play.

That's exactly how you play most of those games I mentioned. Resident Evil VII, Polybius, Tetris Effect, Thumper, and WipEout Omega come to mind, even Rez Infinite, and SuperHyperCube that are more dynamic.

I definitely would like to try them. I've heard a lot of good things with VR from those games, but I don't think I'll get a VR set without trying it first. I don't use glasses, but by your avatar I'm guessing you do. PlayStation VR is known for doing well for people that wears glasses, but I would still advice to not wear them, or use contacts. The reason is that you will likely lose a big chunck of the field of view by wearing glasses, and that can take away from the immersion which is so crucial for enjoying VR. That said, I have friends that come over and use glasses and they say it doesn't bother them, but they are usually the ones that don't get as excited as those that don't. That's just my observation, you may still enjoy it the same. The tech is just nuts. Back in the day when Google Cardboard was a thing I thought it was a nice little gimmick, but now that we have proper VR, it just takes a whole different level. Those games I mentioned are a big reason why I like VR so much. They are the kind of games that are simply perfect for it. VR is great now, but there is a lot that can be improved, for example a wider field of view, higher frame rate, higher resolution, and a wireless headset could bring it even further. Nevertheless, it is still a mind blowing experience. I haven't even tried Resident Evil VII on a regular screen because playing it on VR felt like watching Super Mario 64 for the first time all over again. It was that revolutionary. Then when WipEout Omega got the VR mode I almost shed a tear, it was basically a dream come true. Other small experiences like the X-Wing VR Mission, and even small games like Gunjack can also give that awesome sensation as well once you get into them. They are definitely very unique experiences that propel gaming to the next level, and can even make you revalue reality itself, and the value of objectivity, or you can overlook at it, and miss on it. After all, not everyone can handle it at first, for some people it takes multiple months to adjust completely. But that is just part of having a new tech, I'm sure people were mind blown with radio, but some probably found those frequencies stressful at first. I also recall reading articles that some people were getting disoriented the first time they saw a TV as an adult when they first came out. So that is not new by any means.

I am tempted to pick up PSVR just for the VR options in Ace Combat 7, to be honest. However I feel like we're close enough to PS5/NextBox that VR might not get a ton of love this generation. If I see a used one sub-$150 (canadian), I think that's going to be where I pick one up.
