Trump recently made a joke on Twitter about the severe cold front blasting the midwest right now, and I want to bring it to the attention of our pub members outside the US.
Quoted word for word:
"In the beautiful Midwest, windchill temperatures are reaching minus 60 degrees, the coldest ever recorded. In coming days, expected to get even colder. People can’t last outside even for minutes. What the hell is going on with Global Waming? Please come back fast, we need you!"

All I can say is, wow. What an asshole. As someone who lives in the midwest I can confirm that this winter might be the warmest of my lifetime overall, with the majority of the precipitation in December being rain, which is unheard of in Wisconsin. Not only that, but so far every month this winter there has been at least one significant thaw, which historically was not normal in the state.

I just want to make an important note of something: on christmas day of 2019 it was 52 degrees F, the hottest christmas ever in my state's history.
Funny how Trump didn't comment on the midwest's unseasonably warm holiday season in 2019, even though he was quick to take advantage of the polar vortex in the beginning of that year.
