This is hands down the best musical movie ever made. False! Tommy wins hands down. I actually cried with that hippie movie. The Who rules, legend says they were pinball wizards too. To be fair, I haven't seen this one, so I could be wrong, but I really doubt it, knowing The Dark Side Of The Moon is a better album one way or another. Not only is it based on the absolute best album ever recorded... Also false! Days Of Future Passed by The Moody Blues is the best album ever recorded, it overpasses even Sgt. Pepper, Aftermath, and Abbey Road. Check out this sample, that's a 600,000 people crowd by the way: |

dschult3 It's because his mother was all Pink had after his father died in the war. She couldn't let Pink be a boy or a man and had to coddle him and protect him*. Anyways, childhood is a sensitive time for development. Women only know how to be women. Pink wanted a father, someone he could relate to more. Remember the scene where child Pink tried to walk off with his friends father but got brushed aside? I remember. I just feel that his sadness spiraled into an uncontrollable disdain for women in general. Everyone has to deal with adversity, and I feel for the character (Syd Barrett?), but I have always felt that his stereotypes for women were solely based on a heuristic from his mother and his wife. There comes a time in a man's life that one should see beyond your experience and realize that there is more to this world than your own story. That is how you destroy stereotypes. His disdain for women (his mother, his wife, and the school master's wife) seem to perpetuate the persona of an everlasting nag. It does exist in some aspects of everyone's life, but this guy acts as if every woman is the same. Perhaps he should have talked to the other bricks in the wall before acting this way.
It is just a personal thing I have with the story arc. I don't hate the movie for it, but it annoys me. It doesn't annoy me enough to hate the film, though. It is still a masterpiece.
