Film Discussion of the Week: Pink Floyd - The Wall

I remember.  I just feel that his sadness spiraled into an uncontrollable disdain for women in general.  Everyone has to deal with adversity, and I feel for the character (Syd Barrett?), but I have always felt that his stereotypes for women were solely based on a heuristic from his mother and his wife.  There comes a time in a man's life that one should see beyond your experience and realize that there is more to this world than your own story.  That is how you destroy stereotypes.  His disdain for women (his mother, his wife, and the school master's wife) seem to perpetuate the persona of an everlasting nag.  It does exist in some aspects of everyone's life, but this guy acts as if every woman is the same.  Perhaps he should have talked to the other bricks in the wall before acting this way. 

It is just a personal thing I have with the story arc.  I don't hate the movie for it, but it annoys me.  It doesn't annoy me enough to hate the film, though.  It is still a masterpiece.
