Typically, I don’t watch movies made past 1995 as a policy, but I broke that for John Wick and it’s sequels, and I’m glad I did. Keanu kicked maximum ass and did what I like my action hero’s to do, which is kill everyone. 5/5 for the whole series. Haven't seen the latest one, but the third one was kind of meh. |

It's decent, but the story doesn't progress anything. Also felt like they wasted Lawrence Fishburne. It's fucking hobo Morpheus, and you tell me he doesn't kill anyone??? |

I haven't seen the newest one. They better have let him kick ass in 4. I was so hyped when they showed Laurence Fishburne as it would be Neo and Morpheus reunited again, but it was just pointless dialogue. The second film ended with John Wick wanted by the assassin community, and John Wick 3 ended with John Wick wanted by the assassin community. Nothing changed. Just mindless action, which was fairly enjoyable, but as a package, it was less than both the original and the second film. |

I just watched John Wick 4, and I really liked it. The movie was awfully slick. From the desert scene in the beginning, to the Continental of Japan, to the overhead fight scenes in France, this movie really bookended the epitome of modern cool.
Side note: From these 4 movies, I have learned to never attend a rave in Europe. Every scene has people dancing mad while people are either bludgeoned to death or blown away, and yet no one takes notice.
I had a really good time watching this one. I'm sad to see the main story end. Apparently there will be spin off movies, and I look forward to see where the story goes. The Continental was a good mini series, but I feel like movies will do it better justice.
