The social movement I would like to discuss with the pub this week is the #MeToo movement
What do you think of it? Does the movement as a whole have credibility? Are you supportive of it? Or against it?

I generally support the #MeToo movement and I see it as a very important movement overall. Sure, there will always be at least one lying gold-digger woman going after some millionare celebrity out there, but overall the movement has been a really eye opening event for the planet and has brought the nefarious crimes of politicians like Roy Moore and celebrities like Kevin Spacey, Michael Jackson, Bill Cosby, R. Kelly, & others to light, so I see absolutely no reason not to support it. It's extremely important for rape/sexual abuse victims to speak out about their abuse and have their abusers brought to justice. As someone who was born to closet sociopath parents that never received criticism or jail time for their crimes, I know how much it hurts to see your abuser get away with it and succeed at your (my) expense.
If anything the #MeToo movement has taught me to respect the personal space of all women and not look at women as sex objects. Doing this has kept me out of trouble and prevented any problems with the women around me.

Does it have any relation with U2? Because I really dislike that band. They have some good songs, but I cringe every time I see what they're affiliated with. Why do they care so much about money when they're probably doing more than fine without selling out. They've got one of the worst reputation in the business. |

Never really cared about U2, but I remember making a music video for a media class where we used one of their songs. The music video wasn't that good.
