I was thinking about electric scooters not too long ago and remembered that segways were a thing.
How come nobody talks about segways anymore? They seem to be a forgotten fad. Back in the day these things were all over TV and the news but now they're nowhere to be found. Granted, I never personally saw the appeal of them, but I can't deny that they were an interesting invention.

arguably the "hoverboard" replaced the segway in recent years, so not much to say, I have no interest in any of them, it's basically rollerskates/skateboard with a battery time limit

The electric mopeds sold in major cites near me have a (slightly) longer battery life, a much higher top speed, and you don't have to stand up to ride it. Once you look past the novelty of their design, segways fall short of most other electric vehicles. Maybe that's why they've died out. |
