Great insight into the world of programming! I remember seeing parallax scrolling and thinking it was cool. It was A Link to the Past that really impressed me as they used parallax scrolling to create depth from the second floor to show distance. Then there was Jim Powers. I'm glad he mentioned that in his video. That damn game looked amazing in the magazines. Then you played the game and vomited after 1 minute of game play. It really shows how you can use things subtly, and you'll get great results. Go too far, and then you get trash.

You know, I just thought of it, but Moon Patrol on the Atari 2600 had parallax scrolling. How crazy is that?
