No, why are we discussing this? I sent you both Land of the Dead and Diary of the Dead, let's do them in order. Diary is the sequel.
Edit: Anyways, I'll guess we'll do them out of order then, and I'll express my opinion on Land of the Dead next week or whenever we discuss it.

Never saw this one. When this came out, I thought the zombie thing had run its course. And Romero was kinda a one trick pony at this point anyway.

There was a guy named Romero, Whose father wore a sombrero, His flicks are flesh and gore, With human and undead at war, Blood splashing on the front row
But Balder is salty, That my movie order is faulty, If only I knew, Which first to do, Maybe he would like some malt tea?

This is what I wrote on my Letterboxd review. Really hated watching this one.
"It still baffles me how the guy that made three of the best Zombie movies ever, went on to make some of the worst ever. After watching this I went home to find my brother and his friend watching Need for Speed. They were at the end of the movie, so I joined them. I really didn't like that movie when I watched it a month ago. But now, after watching Diary of the Dead, Need for Speed looks like a fucking masterpiece. I think that says a lot about how crap this shit is."

Here's my thoughts on this trash film:
"George Romero what the hell happened to you man? This was absolutely gutter trash. Romero always has social commentary in his films, but this is just so painstakingly obvious and more of an old man rant/"These damn kids nowadays". I get it, people use social media and news channels film too much, but it comes off so tasteless and boring. And boring is the right word, nothing interesting ever happens. It has a terrible cast and performances, awful story, abysmal production value with the worst visual effects Romero has had yet and it is mostly judt painful to watch. He perfected gore effects with Day of the Desd, why is it all shit now? Where are all the cool, quirky and interesting characters? With the original three of the Dead films, he never spent much time introducing the zombie apocalypse, it all had either happened or we learned about it in an interesting way. Here on the other hand, he spends forever to go through all the boring tropes of them learning to shoot them in the head, accepting that they are not people anymore but dead etc. I have seen all of this shit before Romero, give us something new. I honestly feel like there are no redeeming qualities what so ever in here. I had no idea Romero could go on to disappoint me more after Land of the Dead, but this goes to show that anything can happen." 0.5/5

Zombies are so overplayed. I still don't know why the concept even became so popular. In my opinion succubus should be more popular than zombies.

What I think is really weirf is that you suggested a horror movie in May. Guess you just couldn't wait for October, huh?

Guess you just couldn't wait for October, huh? Honestly who the hell cares? Why should anyone restrict a generic genre of movies to a month? It's horror, it exists for people to watch all year. One of the most famous horror movies ever made was released in the summer, Jaws. And spawned a new cinema season.

This was such a disappointment. Especially after watching the spanish [REC], which is an infinitely better take on the "found-footage with zombies". Romero sadly went the same way of Argento and Carpenter, producing much weaker movies after the 90s.
I still appreciate that he tried a comeback, though. It was just nice to see him directing again, even if the movies were disappointing.
