Haven't seen that one, but why would you compare a cowboy western to a drama-suspense flick like Mississippi Burning? According to Wikipedia, Django Unchained isn't even set during the civil rights movement. Not a fair comparison. It's not exactly set in the Civil Rights period, but it's about a former slave who's freed and now lives as a free man. Still he's subjugated to being treated as a slave by Southern people as they've never seen a free Black man. He hangs around with a German, and together they're bounty hunters. It's one of Tarantino's finest. I'm sure cobretti would approve. |

Just watched Blackkklansman. It came out last year, and even though it got a lot of generic hype, it turned out that it's very good. Go watch it. It's all about Civil Rights and stuff. |

Well have you seen any films that are actually about the civil rights movement besides Mississippi Burning? Just watched Blackkklansman. It came out last year, and even though it got a lot of generic hype, it turned out that it's very good. Go watch it. It's all about Civil Rights and stuff. Sounds like a movie I might be willing to watch. Won't buy it, but I'll see if my library has a copy. Not high on my list of priorities though. I've got a lot of crap on my plate right now. |
