Is anyone on this forum playing Xenoblade Chronicles X? After playing religiously, I FINALLY aquired the Ares 90 skell. I am giddy with delight. I'm mowing down enemies which used to stomp on me with just a glance. I....I...can't describe the euphoria I am currently feeling. I haven't felt this happy since getting "x-fight" with the Atma Weapon in Final Fantasy III!

At first I read the video as "The Best of Eric Cartman." That would have been even better.
You of all people should know why I'm so happy. If you recall in December, I was being killed by insane monstrosities over and over again. It was hard to watch, but still, it was better than watching the Bears like we we intended...

I was just checking to see if anyone from the forum played the game at all. I've heard that there will be a port to the Switch when it comes out. I wonder if the online play will encompass both systems? |

I didn't actually realize it featured online play. I remember the gameplay being described as 'Phantasy Star Offline', though in a positive manner.

Are you talking about Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii? That game has a story line has similar themes, but neither of them are sequels to Xenogears. By the way, how are you going to play it? The cheapest way seems to be through the digital download on the Wii U. The 3DS version would be the second cheapest. The damn Wii version has a shortage in copies thanks to the all mighty Game Stop. At one point the game was going for $150. God I hate that company... |

While not strictly following on from or having much to do with one another, there's nothing ruling out the possibility that their stories could exist in the same universe and timeline, as they share a common thread origin - the cataclysmic loss of the Earth thousands of years prior. But no, not playing Gears (or Saga) won't detract from the Blade games themselves. Although that doesn't mean you shouldn't play them! Blade has the wondrously immersive open world(s), but Gears & Saga had the superior premise and story imo. |
