Looking at how the driver fits in, I'm guessing it doesn't protect you from a very terrible back pain. I watched the Top Gear video centipede linked the other day and I would just like to point out that the host stated he was 6' 5'' (about two meters for those of you who live outside the states), which is significantly taller than the average height of a man. For example, I'm only 5' 10'' tall so I wouldn't have any trouble fitting into a peel 50. |

Man, I wish more than ever right now that I had one of these. My POS SUV is in the shop and it has been chilly & raining non-stop here the last three days. A roof over my head would make such a difference on the go.

This thing looks like a total piece of shit. , do you think we could make it better by putting a flamethrower or something on top of it? Been meaning to say... If Cobretti owned a Peel P50, he'd probably want to turn it into a muscly off-roader, like these guys did to this smart: Here in the midwest, it's all about off-road capabilities. Nobody cares about fuel economy and carbon emissions when it comes to cars in america. If you're an all-american alpha male like Cobretti is, horsepower and off-road qualities, like high ground clearance, torque, four-wheel drive, treaded tires, snorkel mufflers, etc. are all you're gonna look for when shopping for cars. It's ironic, since most people don't even own enough property to legally off-road on. I guess the guys here in the states are just after the image of an off-roader rather than actually needing to rely on off-road capabilities for work, commuting, or whatever else. |
