Is this a big deal? I've never really used this page, because I'm more of an Atari Age guy. Some people have told me that the place was a toxic, banning mess; whereas others said it was a great forum. Does anyone use Nintendo Age on the forum here? Is this a good or a bad thing?

Are you saying Nintendo generates harder fanboys than anyone else? i think the difference between a nintendo fanboys and everyone else is that even the intelligent ones act extremely bias and stupid, i.e derek cgr under tow, finngamer and so on. fanboys usually have a age group that doesn't exceed the age of 30. but that doesn't seem to apply for nintendo fans. finngamer is nearly 40 years old and although he's a very intelligent guy, he will say a lot of stupid things to make nintendo look good. |

I never heard of these boards, and I love a lot of Nintendo stuff. I don't like a few of their IPs like Pokémon, Nintendogs, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, and a few others, but they have really good stuff like Duck Hunt, and F-Zero.

I just want to take a moment to agree 150% with winnersdontusedrugs and Bogard . Nintendo fanboys are absolute cancer to deal with. It boggles my mind how the Sonic fanbase gets so much shit for being delusional when in reality the average Nintendrone is exponentially more delusional than all Sonic fans combined. I can count the number of tolerable Nintendo fans that I've met on one hand (CGR pub member Nintendo Boy comes to mind). You can't expect to get any sense out of all the others. I honestly can't understand how anyone could still support Nintendo after all the shit they've done since the Wii and even some stuff before that. Even Disney has more respect for gamers than Nintendo. For example Disney recently brought Star Wars Battlefront 2 severs back online and released the original Battlefront digitally for the first time ever. Meanwhile, Nintendo has discontinued the Virtual Console, taken down emulation sites and refuse to make GC games available on their store. Even Sony was already bringing PS2 games to PSN shortly after the PS3 launched over a decade ago. And do I even need to mention the crap that they have done to the Paper Mario, Star Fox and SSB franchises? Fuck Nintendo. They are the anti-christ of gaming and their fans are the worst people around. |

They are the anti-christ of gaming and their fans are the worst people around. hey MeleeMaestro. it's not actually nintendo i have a problem with. besides the shit they tried to pull off with the wii u with the crappy tablet and by giving us a shell of a mario game like 3d mario (which is a good game but felt quite shallow in comparison to galaxy and sunshine) i always loved what they did from the gamecube and the wii. my problem is with the fanboys. it's completely normal for kids and teenagers to defend their favourite company, but most fanboys grow out of it by the age of 25 and stop giving a shit about the console wars. but nintendo fanboys. take derek from cgr undertow which is a great example. he would deliberately give a good non nintendo game a bad review and declare a average nintendo game to be THE MOST REVOLUTIONARY THING AROUND. he shat on games like silent hill by saying they're clunky and out of date when you know he would give it a good review if it was on a nintendo console, and he declared kirby's epic yarn the best game of the year. then you have guys like finngamer who has one of the biggest nintendo collections in the world, who declared that the nintendo ds is better than the ps2. on top of that these guys refuse to play any game outside of nintendo and it's quite apparent with their reviews. i mean derek declared raystorm as his favourite game on the ps1 which shows how much time he's actually spent playing the ps1. and finngamer refused to play games like crash bandicoot and spyro in which he gave the reason " i don't need to play those games, because there's no way those games are going to be as good as the platformers on the n64" what pisses me off is not only their age but the fact that these guys are very intelligent people. and that's why i dislike nintendo fanboys. |

Well, the long story short here is the fact that those sites were purchased to use the info for a database. The forums will continue on, but some of the mods were upset by this revelation, since they weren't informed about it ahead of time.
