I'm not a smart phone gamer, but I've noticed a section of controllers for sale at Target today. Does anyone play with these accessories? It seems like it would take away from the portable fun, so I'd like to hear from you if it works out well. Maybe I'll try it.

I have tested out my PS4 controller with my android phone and it seemed to work well enough, but you are correct about it being kind of odd for something that small. I think I'd be more inclined to use that setup with a tablet.

I use my DualShock 4 with my Galaxy S6 to play Oculus Samsung Gear VR apps. It works well. However I've seen some other options with Mad Catz pads that can actually hold your phone for you. They are the most pricey kind because of the brand, but I'm sure there are other brands cheaper that you can find.

You know, I didn't think about VR when I posted this, but that makes all the sense in the world. If VR takes off, then there should be a big market for this. I don't think I have seen anyone play a game on a smart phone with a controller by itself though.
