How is the battery life for those of you playing her at the pub? I just got back from a family train trip from Chicago to Washington DC. We got a room on the train, and my son would play for 2-4 hours before he went to bed. The battery was nearly gone towards the 4 hour mark if he was playing Arms, DKC Tropical Freeze. Mario Kart seemed to drain the battery more. After everyone went to bed, Valkyria Chronicles 4 didn't seem too taxing on the system.
What do you guys think about the battery life? I'm pleased with it, but I'd love to upgrade the battery. I don't think there is an option available for an internal replacement yet. Has anyone bought the battery pack upgrades? (Nyko seems to have a nice one.) Do you really think people need a battery that can last longer?

Regarding internal replacements, definitely not anything available. The existing battery takes up a large portion of the internal space, as the image below shows. I find it does fine for my needs on the go, but I know a few folks who connect a portable USB charger for some extra life.

4 hours sounds about right. It is pretty good considering something like the Oculus Quest only last 1.5 hours in practice.

dschult3 - If it's anything like the 3DS, I would suggest just turning off the wi-fi while playing single player games. On the 3DS, it nearly doubles the battery life.

Excellent find, sir! It would seem that the new chip is better at power conservation. Now I'm starting to wonder if you could do a chip swap and mod it yourself without buying a new Switch.
