I've tried looking up instructions on how to access console commands for Crysis (of which there are some really epic ones), but haven't had any success in getting it to work. Here's what I need help with: I need to access devmode before the game will allow me to successfully enter commands, but I don't know how to do that! Most instructions out there are for the Steam version of the game, and I only own the physical copy. Even so, I still haven't found any that I understand. For example, one internet article on the game's console instructed me to "right click on the game's launch icon and add devmode to the game's command line parameter" but I couldn't find the command line parameter!
This is so frustrating. You guys have saved my ass time after time, and now I need your help again. Someone, anyone, PLEASE help me with this so I can fully appreciate the epicness that is Crysis!

Sorry for the late reply. I've been vomiting and bedridden these past two days, so I wasn't able to access the internet. I get sick like this when I forget to brush my retainer regularly. I followed the instructions you linked and the results were disastrous; after adding -devmode to the script and starting the game, I noticed that the majority of my saves had been erased for some reason, and when I tried pulling up the console it appeared as a black slab with no text whatsoever. Thankfully, deleting -devmode from the script restored the game to its normal state. It's is so frustrating. I don't know why this isn't working for me, and I don't know what to do.  |

Cervantes Just thought of something: I'm playing the unpatched version of the game. Were patches released for Crysis? Do you think the issue I'm having with activating devmode might be due to a bug preventing me from doing so?

This might be difficult for me, since I play Crysis on my desktop PC, and I don't have internet service at my apartment. I guess I would have to move the patch onto a flashdrive and then install it on my desktop, but I've never done this before. |
